Logistics Institute is the first Science – Technology
organization in International Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services in
Vietnam.
MISSION
The Institute's mission: combine forces, research, training and transferring
technology, actively contributing to the development of Logistics in Vietnam to
equal to the other countries in the area and in the world.
VISION
- Investigate the strategies to develop, project Logistics, policies, institutions in the Logistics , the data index , the standard process of the International Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services.
- Investigate the applications of the technology and other advanced skills in Logistics, supply the consultant service applications in the model management of Logistics, summarize the information system, and give Logistics solutions for the members as well as other enterprises.
- Organize to train Logistics resources, improve Logistics Knowledge and Supply Chain Management for members, other Logistics service suppliers as well as other companies with the specialties equal to the international standard.
ACITON PLANS
In the two years 2011-2012, the Institute focused on training as follow :
- FIATA Diploma in International Freight Management issued by FIATA which consists of 12 modules. The target of the education is : 8 x 30 students per class = 240 students;
- IATA Basic Air Cargo course of: average one course per month;
- Professional Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management: organize some short courses and full-course to transfer the knowledge and experiences for officers & employees of the enterprise;
- Co-operate with local and international organizations to organize training programs in various ways to improve management & operation skills and professional in Logistics Services.
STAFF
Research team:
- The Institute has 10 PhDs and 28 M.As, specialists, organized into eight faculties.
- Institute gathered a team of scientists, researchers, officials and leading heart and mind with the process of work, much practical experience in freight forwarding and Logistics in Vietnam. This team will be complemented by cooperation, links with organizations such as domestic and international FIATA, IATA, Foreign Trade University, the University of Transport, and Logistics Knowledge Company.
Teaching staff:
- 38 lecturers are professors, experts, managers, businessmen.
- Logistics Institute directly participates in Working Group of Education & Training of AFFA.
FACILITIES
- 04 classrooms serving 128 students at the same time.
- Hall with 150 seats: for Conference, Workshop.
- Library: for teachers, students and research staff.
